Description
I replaced a failed RAID hard drive with a new hard drive, but it’s not rebuilding.
Solution
This is expected behavior. User action is required.
Use the following steps to start a rebuild of a degraded RAID volume after replacing the failed hard drive with a new hard drive of equal or larger size.
- Power on the system.
- Open the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology user interface. After the operating system is running, click Intel® Rapid Storage Technology in the Start Menu or right-click the Intel Rapid Storage Technology tray icon and click Intel® Rapid Storage Technology.
- Click Rebuild to another disk.
- Select the new hard drive.
- Click Rebuild.
