htc phone on windows 7 sync issue

Hi, the following steps solved the problem for me.
If Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 is installed, uninstall it. (Windows 7 has its own Active sync or WMDC capability). Disconnect your device or ipaq. On your device go to “settings”, then to “connections”, then tap the “USB to PC” icon. Make sure the “enable advanced network functionality” is UNCHECKED. Tap “OK” at the right top bottom. Now reconnect your device. After a few moments Windows 7 now will automatically configure your device and install/update drivers. Hope it works for you.
