1. On the Windows NT task bar, click Start, and choose Run.
2. Next, type REGEDIT in the Run text box.
3. In the Windows Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\Network Associates\GroupShield Exchange
4. With this registry key highlighted, open the Edit menu and choose the New option.
5. From the New menu, choose the String Value option and type the following string:

PassEncryptedZips

NOTE: It is not necessary to assign a value to the PassEncryptedZips key.

6. To have the change take effect, the Network Associates GroupShield Exchange service must be restarted. To do so:
1. Open the Windows NT Control Panel
2. Select the Services icon
3. Highlight the Network Associates GroupShield Exchange service
4. Click Stop.
5. When the service is stopped, click Start.

NOTE: When the Network Associates GroupShield Exchange is stopped, it stops the Network Associates GroupShield Exchange On-Line Update service too. You will have to restart the On-Line update service yourself once the GroupShield Exchange service has restarted.
